Cooking Chocolate Chilli Cheesecake
Giving the gift of food dates back through the ages. People love to receive something luscious that they simply can’t wait to sink their teeth into. One of the best gifts the women in my family like to receive is the gift of chocolate. Chocolate Truffles, to be exact.
Ingredients:
3 (6 oz) Packages Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14oz) Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
3/4 Cup Chopped nuts
1 1/2 teaspoonful Vanilla Extract
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan melt chocolate chips and milk over low heat to prevent scorching. When thoroughly blended and melted, remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and nuts.
I urge you to get outside and breathe in the signs of nature this fall. Don’t let another day pass you by. It really helps me relax and I’m sure it will do the same for you. But don’t forget the hot chocolate afterward. That’s one of my favorite parts of the ritual. I have included 2 of my favorites for you to try:
1. Hot Cocoa:
3 Tablespoonfuls Sugar
2 Tablespoonfuls Cocoa Powder
Dash of salt
1/4 Cup Hot Water
1 1/2 Cups Milk
mini-marshmallows (optional)
In a medium saucepan combine sugar, cocoa powder and salt. Add water and stir. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils. Continue to boil and stir constantly for 2 minutes. Add milk and heat until warm enough to serve. Do not bring to a boil again.
Remove from heat and beat with a wire whisk until frothy. Add mini-marshmallows if desired. Serve immediately.
